On the morning of June 4, 2014, Hubei 2^nd Environmental Protection Awards Ceremony was held. GEM (Wuhan) Urban Mining Recycling Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd was honored the special awards as the sole representative for enterprises. Wang Guosheng, governor of Hubei province, gave the prize to Chairman Xu Kaihua, and the deputy director of Environmental Protection Department called on the public to announce war on pollution, and to use the compulsory measures reduce the environmental pollution.

GEM quickly responded the call. Chairman Xu Kaihua immediately held the video mobilization meeting on the subject of “Strengthening the environmental management, and announce war on the pollution” at 1:30 pm the same day. In the meeting, concrete measures was made, and many respects were deployed, for instance, to understand, check the list, implement the measures, supervise and inspect, make the plans, and strengthen the propaganda. Headquarters and the subsidiary branches are ready to fight a hard battle!

Hubei Environmental Protection Awards was initiated last year, which is the highest award regards on the environmental protection. It is also a unique invention national wide. Five years ago, GEM only had a few small recovery bins along the street; after five years, the numbers grow to 15,000. GEM people never forget President Xi’s trust “Turn waste into resources, transform the corruptible into usable resources!”. GEM people proved with the practices that the waste is the misplaced resources, and recycling is the way to go green economy. The award is affirmation and encourage to GEM’s industrial philosophy from Hubei government and the environment protection department, moreover, it is the strong dynamic and social responsibility. GEM will keep hard work, and follow it through to the end, announce war on the pollution!
