On 18^th to 20^th June 2014, 2014 China Resource Recycling Industry Conference was held ceremoniously in  Jingmen GEM Urban Mining Resource Recycling Industrial Park. This conference  was hosted by the China Resource Recycling Association and undertaken by Shenzhen GEM High-tech Co., Ltd. The theme of this conference was "Science and Technology Leads, Model Innovation, Industrial Upgrading". It was an annual event in the recycling industry in China. Academician Zuo Tieyong, a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering,  Cao Guangjing, vice governor of the People"s Government of Hubei Province,  Jiang Shengsan, the president of China Resource Recycling Association, Chen Dongzheng, the president of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Director Huang Jianzhong and Director Wang Wenchu from the Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization Department of National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Guo Qimin, the Director of Circular Economy Office of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection Department of  National Development and Reform Commission, Dr. Chen Ying from Solid Waste Management Center of Environmental Protection Department, Yang Jie, vice director of Economic Development and Reform Department of National Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Gong Yu, vice secretary of Party Committee of Beijing University of Technology, Nie Zuoren, vice president of Beijing University of Technology  and many other specialists and scholars from China Resources Recycling Reuse Association, China Scrap Iron and Steel Application Association, China Resources Recycling Association, Tianjin Ziya Circular Economy Industrial district, Investment Banking Department of CDB Securities , Tokyo consortium, Environment Department of  Tsinghua University, Environment and Resources Sector of the Development and Research Center of State Council,  Keio University, Electronic Engineering Design Institute of China, as well as more than 420 representatives of enterprises including China Resources Recycling Development Co., Ltd., Qingdao Xintiandi, Hunan Wanrong Science and Technology Co., Ltd. etc.  There were more than 600 media representatives, guests and leaderships from Jingmen Government and municipal party committee. The guests visited  GEM Urban Mining Demonstration Base and discussed the transformation and upgrading of the recycling industry. It was  huge event to  promote the development of the recycling industry in China, to diver the transformation and upgrading of Chinese economy and the construction of ecological civilization.

Prior to the conference, all the guests visited GEM National Circular Economy Education Demonstration Base Urban Mining Museum, Public Inspection Center of National Urban Mining Demonstration Base which was also the Urban Mining Nation - Local Jointly Engineering Technology Research Center and made a field trip to understand GEM’s high-tech products and complete recycling industrial chains of used batteries, electronic waste, industrial waste containing nickel, cobalt, tungsten, waste containing rare metals, ELV recycling to refine tungsten, cobalt, nickel, copper, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, gallium, germanium, rare earth and other 10 kinds of scarce resources, to produce Wood Plastic Composite(WPC), and many other new energy materials.

During the conference, the realistic practices from all aspects for the  transformation and upgrading of the industry have been discussed. Academician ZuoTieYong, a member Chinese Academy of Engineering,  pointed out the insufficient of the theory research  and  technology innovation in the field of urban mining in China. A group of enterprises which was represented by GEM, needed to co-operate with another enterprises and extended the industrial chain further by working together, under the support of all levels of governments. These enterprises needed to find value appreciation, through the introduction of foreigner technology   and  independent innovation to match the existing technical level with Japan, Germany  and  Taiwan  and  in some area maybe even better. Chen Dongzheng,  Party secretary  who was also the director of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, provided a angel of  capital market financing strategy for resources recycling cooperation. Jiang Shensan, the president of China Resources Recycling Association mentioned the changes in resources demand which induced by economic growth in his keynote report. He point out that enterprises should timely adjust the modes of operation to adapt to the economic structure change, he also made a call for recycling industry tax revenue preferential policy should come out as soon as possible. Huang Jianzhong, the president of  the Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization Department of National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Guo Qimin, the Director of Circular Economy Office of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection Department of  National Development and Reform Commission and Dr. Chen Ying from Solid Waste Management Center of Environmental Protection Department made some interpretations on the guidance  of future polices in resource recycling industry. They made suggestion on how to make a break through on the traditional recycling mode and the technical bottleneck, to take the  huge challenges in the transformation and upgrading which was facing by the current industry. Cao Guangjing, vice governor of People"s Government of Hubei Province, said that experts and leaders were attending this conference, this conference would certainly bring new opportunities  to the transformation and upgrading of our economy as well as the construction of ecological civilization. Xiao Juhua, the mayor of Jingmen City and Xu Kaihua,  the president of  green beauty of Shenzhen GEM High-tech Co., Ltd. made welcome speech.

"2014 China Resource Recycling Industry Development Research Report” (blue book) was released  during the conference. China Resources Recycling Association published the first batch of Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Education Demonstration Base and the list of Top 100 Enterprises of Resources Recycling in China.

The launching ceremony of "China Resources Recycling Technology Innovation Alliance" was held during the conference. This technology innovation alliance consists of China Resources Recycling Association, GEM and other 12 large backbone enterprises. The aim was to strengthen the relationship among industry, university and research. Relying on the existing science and technology of current alliance members, to establish a new industrial mode with the main characteristics of using recycling industry chain, centralized processing, large-scale production, high value re-utilization.

On the afternoon of 19^th, the guests carried out group discussions on the development innovation, scientific, technological innovation and capital markets.

Cheng Huiqiang, a research from Environmental and Resources Office of the State Council Development Research Center, Liu Qiang, vice president of  China Resource Recycling Association, 染野宪治 a researcher  from Tokyo Consortium, Wang Mao, vice president of Yuchang Co., Ltd.,  Li Jingchun, the president of Yangquan Tianyuan Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. made special reports around the theme of "The Development Innovation --- the Future and Development of Resources Recycling Industrial Park". The respective reports topics were “the Development Strategy of Resource Recycling Industrial Park in China”, “the Industrial Park Mode Promote Urbanization, New Resource Recycling Industrial Development Mode", "From the Point of View of the Circular Economy Development and Main System  in Japan to Understand the Vein Industry in the Chinese Market", “the Suggestions and Preliminary Discussion on the Policy of End-of-life Vehicle  Retrieve and Dismantle Industry, Green Circulation Path of Tianyuan Group - Operation mode". Pan Yonggang vice president and general secretary of China Resources Recycling Association hosted this semi-conference.

Wen Zongguo a researcher the Environment Department of Tsinghua University,  Nie Zuoren, vice president of Beijing University of Technology, Zhou Jifeng, deputy general manager of Shenzhen GEM High-tech Co., Ltd. who was also the general manager of Wuhan GEM Resources recycling Co., Ltd.,  Ming GuoYing, president of Hunan Wanrong Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Wang Xiaohui, Bolede Information Technology Co., Ltd. made special reports around the theme of "Establish Sharing Platform and Mechanism of Joint Research and Development  for Science and Technology Research for Resource Recycling", The individual reports topics were "Collaborative Innovation on Resource Recycling - Talent, Science and Research Three-in-one to Improve the Innovation Ability”, “Recycle and Reuse of Discarded Batteries”, “Technology Innovation,  Extend the Development Value Chian of Urban Mining” and “Science and Technology Leads the End-of-life Vehicle Recycling Industry in China". Wen Zongguo, a researcher of the Environment Department of Tsinghua  who was also the director of the Circular Economy Industry Study Center of Tsinghua University hosted this semi-conference.

Kong Dechun, the president of Dalian Resources Recycling Trading Market Co., Ltd., Liao Bangzheng, vice general manager of the Investment Banking Department of CDB Securities, Guo Rongmin, director of the Information Department of China Resources Recycling Association, Wang Liyong, a lawyer from Beijing Jinbiao Law Firm, Xu Kaihua, the president of Shenzheng GEM High-tech Co., Ltd., made special reports around the theme of "Capital Market Innovation - the New Business Model Investment and Financing Channels for Resource Recycling Enterprises". The following reports of New Trading Pattern and Corporate Financing Strategy”, "Three New Powers Which can Help the Takeoff of Recycling Enterprises", "Business Model on How to Make Use Information and Network Platform to Make Innovation", “Escort the Win-win Situation in Business - Legal Advice During the Process of Corporate Financing", "Open Cooperation, Embrace Capital" were made accordingly. Wang Hong,  general manager’s assistant of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange hosted this semi-conference.

On the morning of 20^th June, a field trip to Jingmen  Urban Mining Demonstration Base which was also National Circular Economy Education Demonstration Base was organized.
