On the 26^th June 2014, the Commencement of Work for Wuhan City Circle (Xiantao) Urban Mining Resource Market was held. Wuhan City Circle (Xiantao) Urban Mining Resource Market was invested by Shenzhen GEM High-tech Co., Ltd. The total investment was 339 million RMB. The expected recycled resources exchange amount is 2 million tons and the expected deep processing capacity is 300,000 tons, after the completion of the project. It will form an international urban mining resources market as well as the industrial chain for recycled resources, end-of-life vehicle and scrap steel comprehensive utilization. In the meanwhile, realizing the centralization, standardization and informatization of the commodity distribution, sorting, transaction, and the reutilization of recycled resources.

Zhou Wenxia, vice secretary of Municipal Party Committee of Xiantao City who was also the mayor, Yan Qifang, general member of Municipal Standing Committee and vice secretary of Municipal Government Party, Hu Xianping, a member of Municipal Standing Committee who was also the director of  both of Propaganda Department and United Front Work Department, Liu Jinggang, vice director of Municipal Peoples Congress, Zhang Deping, vice-chairman of Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and the principal leading comrades of involved functional departments, professor Xu Kaihua, Chairman of GEM Group, Wang Min, Executive Vice General Manager, Zhou Jifeng, Vice General Manager and representatives of construction side attended commencement ceremony.

At 9:58 am, Yan Qifang, general member of Municipal Standing Committee and vice secretary of Municipal Government Party, announced the commencement ceremony to start formally. Professor Xu Kaihua, Chairman of GEM, expressed thankfulness to the long-term support of Zhou Wenxia, the city mayor of Xiantao and Ma Peixiang, the secretary of Changshangkou town. As the strong town of resources aggregation of end-of-life vehicles for a long time, Changshangkou (Xiantao) owns unmatched advantages. GEM will invest more than 300 million RMB to establish Wuhan City Circle (Xiantao) Urban Mining Resource Market, and open the precedent trade of disorder-to-concentration, small scale to large scale for recycled resources. Investing in Xiantao only has starting point, no end point. GEM would continue to invest in Xiantao, try to make bigger and stronger for Wuhan City Circle Urban Mining Resource, and satisfy the local people and colleagues of GEM.

Afterwards, Ma Peixiang, the secretary of Changshangkou town, expressed that GEM truly changes the current situation of our country’s resources. The project of Wuhan City Circle (Xiantao) Urban Mining Resource Market is another major project settling in Changshangkou, all level government units would fully implement the spirit of the CPC central committee service-oriented government, offer all-round services to the company as always, exclude the difficulties and anxieties for the construction of recycling industrial park, try best to create the optimum developing environment, do a good job for incubation from reality. In the meantime, the construction side guaranteed both quality and quantity of the constructing task.

The mayor Zhou Wenxia speeched: GEM initiated and guided the development of circular economy field in China, provided essential thought and strategical support for the development of circular economy industry. In the end, the mayor Zhou Wenxia announced “Wuhan City Circle (Xiantao) Urban Mining Resource Market formally start to work.” Ten large-scale construction machineries started to work at the same time. The establishment of Wuhan City Circle (Xiantao) Urban Mining Resource Market formally began.
