Recently, the National Ministry of Science and Technology has announced a list of national engineering and technology research center programs including GEM (Jingmen) e-wastes recycling and engineering technology research center.

GEM (Jingmen) outperforms its competitors in the e-wastes recycling industry resulting from its knowledgeable and professional staff, systematic recycling and treatment plans, and green and advanced technological equipment. The research and development capabilities of GEM (Jingmen) make it possible to initiate several vital national and provincial technology research programs, which in return make GEM (Jingmen) be able to obtain a series of independent intellectual property rights and industrialization.

This approval demonstrates the trust and expectation from the Chinese government and the technological community towards GEM, which also represents the appraisal of the government and the public towards GEM’s ongoing efforts in exploiting the ‘Urban Mines’. The research center of GEM (Jingmen) has promoted the R&D of e-wastes recycling to a national strategic level.
