On the morning of 17th August 2014, Sun Wenkui, deputy mayor of Tianjin People’s Government, Ji Guoqiang, secretary of Jinghai County Party Committee, Cui Yueping, deputy mayor of Jinghai County and other leaders visited GEM (Wuhan) Urban Mining Recycling Industrial Park. Prof. Xu Kaihua, the president of GEM Group warmly welcomed Deputy Mayor Sun Wenkui and other leaders and showed the construction site of the end-of-life vehical (ELV) recycling project, e-waste dismantling workshop and wood plastic composite(WPC) production workshop, and made a discussion on circular economy industry.

Deputy Mayor Sun Wenkui and other leaders made a field trip to the project construction site of GEM (Wuhan) ELV recycling project and listened to the report of the situation of the project construction which made by President Xu Kaihua. The ELV recycling project of Wuhan Industrial Park aimed at building an advanced and smart green recycling disassembly line. In the future, GEM will devote to the extension of ELV comprehensive re-utilization industrial chain and the improvement of the auto parts remanufacturing system , therefore to create high value-added products and build circular economy industry system with a big data mode.

During the meeting, President Xu Kaihua had an in-depth exchange and discussion with Deputy Mayor Sun Wenkui and other leaders on the issues of the situation of the development plan for circular economy and renewable resources in China. Deputy Mayor Sun Wenkui thanked GEM on behalf of Tianjin People’s Government for the investment in Tianjin. Two parties discussed the industry orientation and the design of GEM (Tianjin) Urban Mining Recycling Industrial Park, and pointed out that Tianjin GEM should build  a world-class ELV and e-waste recycling industrial park as well as a  circular economy demonstration park with advanced technology and business model, to reflect the art of recycling and let recycling become a lifestyle! The two parties discussed and supported GEM to build an advanced waste recycling system. Let the reycling industry run in Jinghai County. Meanwhile, they made a discussion  on building advanced urban mining research and information platform together, to co-promote the technology and information progress of the entire Ziya Industrial Park. President Xu Kaihua said that GEM would follow the above ideas to accelerate the construction of GEM Tianjin Industrial Park.  GEM Tianjin would become a world-class ELV and e-waste recycling center, circular economy demonstration center, waste recycling art and culture exhibition center and advanced technology research center. GEM will make contributions in the rapid development of Tianjin’s circular economy via technology driven, mode led and circular culture.
