On May 26th to 28th, 2015, Giuseppe Cavalli, executive director of TSR Recycling GmbH & Co. KG, Kees Heuvelman, CEO of north area of TSR, Fabrizio Tellarini, senior partner of GEA consulting company and Marco Alberti from GEA consulting company, visited industrial bases of GEM Group. Prof. Xu Kaihua, the president of GEM Group warmly welcomed TSR Group and accompanied our distinguished guests the whole journey.

On May 26th to 28th, TSR Group investigated GEM (Jingmen) Urban Mining Recycling Industrial Park, GEM (Wuhan) Urban Mining Recycling Industrial Park and GEM (Jiangxi) Urban Mining Recycling Industrial Park, one after another; visited GEM’s e-waste treatment workshop, ELV treatment workshop, waste battery recycling workshop, tungsten resources recycling workshop, waste plastics recycling workshop, and other typical waste recycling workshops including waste residue & waste mud treatment center, E’zhong circular economy city, urban mining museum and central R&D institute. They learned GEM e-waste harmless treatment processes, world’s advanced PCB treatment technology, battery materials recycled from waste battery and the six models of ELV treatment. Our guests had a complete experience of GEM’s waste recycling industrial development status. TSR guests were very impressive by GEM’s development of waste treatment industries. They would like to carry out technical exchanges and global waste logistics cooperation with GEM, jointly contribute to the environmental protection of the world.

During the investigation, TSR Group guests were warmly received by Wuhan municipal government. On the morning of 27th, Liu Liyong, vice mayor of Wuhan, met with the guests from TSR Group with enthusiasm in the reception center of Wuhan municipal government. Vice mayor Liu introduced the present situation, development scale and the circular economy development plan of Wuhan City. Mayor Liu praised the outstanding contributions to environmental protection in Europe which made by TSR Group, welcomed TSR Group to invest in Wuhan, and a full support would be provided to the cooperation in circular economy technologies and industries between TSR and GEM, to raise the internationalization level of resource-economical and environment-friendly of Wuhan City.

TSR Recycling GmbH & Co. KG, which owned 120-year history, is one of the large resources recycling companies and ELV recycling and metal processing enterprises in Europe. The annual sales are more than 4 billion Euros. TSR owned 150 yards and 14 comprehensive shredding centers in Europe and has a processing ability of 8 million tons of metal wastes. The purpose of Mr. Giuseppe Cavalli’s visit was to understand the current situations and development trend of waste treatment in China.
