On the morning of 22nd July 2015, while the 2 second anniversary General Secretary Xi’s visit, “Internet + Classified Recycling” launching ceremony and press conference was hold in Wuhan and Tianjin at the same time. This event was organized by Wuhan Development and Reform Commission, the People"s Government of Wuchang District, Wuhan Supply and Marketing Cooperative, the People"s Government of Jinghai, the Management Committee of Ziya Circular Economy Industrial District in Tianjin and GEM Co., LTD. The first domestic comprehensive O2O waste classification and recycling platform – “Recycling Bro” was put in use.

The launch ceremony was supported by governmental leaders and industrial experts from the Supply and Marketing Cooperative of Hubei Province, government units of Wuhan, Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (BCRC China) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), China Association of Circular Economy, China Resource Recycling Association, China National Resources Recycling Association and over 300 people including, Recycling Bros, community residents, student representatives and delegates of banks , media and securities institutions attended this event.

Prior to the launching ceremony, the guests learned the information of GEM’s industrial parks information and viewed the products sample at the exhibition area. By remote information monitoring system, the guests had a deeper understanding of  the complete waste recycling industry chains of GEM.

At the launching ceremony, the related personnel of GEM interpreted the business model of "Recycling Bro" in detail. Professor Xu Kaihua, the president of GEM Group, delivered the welcoming remarks; the representatives of “Recycling Bro”, community residents, primary school students and summer intern from Tsinghua University made speeches about the working conditions of existing recycling personnel and the present status of domestic recycling and so on. We believed that the “Recycling Bro” Project would effectively solve the problems of incomplete waste sorting and low resource recycling efficiency.

At the launch site of Wuhan, Li Jinhui, professor of Environment Science School of Tsinghua University, who is also the executive director BCRC (China), Cai Wenquan, deputy director of Wuhan Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Yang Jie, deputy director of Supply and Marketing Cooperative of Hubei Province, Zhao Jiarong, executive director of China Association of Circular Economy and Ni Zilin, deputy general secretary of Wuhan People"s Government delivered speeches. They high approved the project "Internet + Classified Recycling" and hoped "Recycling Bro" to have a significant impact on the resource recycling industry via Internet, give full play to the advantages of the Internet, provide a new way to sort out municipal in Wuhan and Tianjin, make positive contributions to national ecological civilization construction and do their for our living environment.

At the launch site of Tianjin, Ji Guoqiang, party secretary of Jinghai County Party Committee said that Recycling Bro” Project of GEM had a significant meaning in environmental protection and circular economy construction. Ever since Tianjin GEM started its business in Ziya Circular Economic Park, Tianjin GEM aimed at “Constructing a Green Ziya, Building a Beautiful Tianjin”. Tianjin GEM has made a great contribution on the development of circular economy industry and the construction of Ziya Circular Economy Park. The launch of “Recycling Bro” was a solid step to the waste collection system construction, which was a brand new innovation. The People"s Government of Jinghai would support the development of Tianjin GEM as always. Finally, Secretary Ji wished that "Recycling Bro" would get stronger, from Jinghai to Tianjin, and  covered Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

In witness of Director Zhao Jiarong, General Secretary Ni Zilin, Director Yang Jie, Secretary Ji Guoqiang, community and student representatives, “Internet + Classified Recycling” officially launched in Wuhan and Tianjin. This project took  “Recycling Bro” as the image. At the same event, Wang Min, deputy General Manager of GEM Group introduced the “Recycling Bro Green Lift Growth Plan” to the audients, invited guests to draw winners at the site to go to abroad to learn the advance environmental protection concepts and technologies. This plan aims at encouraging citizens to take care of the environment, setting up environmental protection consciousness, practicing in waste recycling, and releasing growth of personal life and environmental protection awareness.

Finally, a press conference was hold, President Xu Kaihua and Deputy General Manager Lu Xijin of GEM Group had in-depth communication with the guests and medias on the matters of operation and management model of “Recycling Bro”.
